When we were talking and praying about our move to Latvia, I remember Caroline getting a sad look in her eyes one night. She had done the math in her head and realized that we would be arriving in Latvia less than one month before her birthday. When I asked her what was wrong, she replied, “I won’t have any friends yet to have at my birthday party.”

The Lord’s faithfulness was on display again this past Saturday when we had Caroline’s 6th Birthday Party with 12 little girls!

Caroline wanted to do a flower garden tea party and that is what she got! Here are a few pictures of the tea party.

After the tea party, we then went outside for some activities in the sun. Guna, a friend of ours, made a super-bubble mix and the girls had lots of fun making gigantic bubbles:

It was a wonderful day of celebration and continuing to grow in our friendships. Patty truly out did herself planning this party with Caroline, especially considering that we are in a brand-new country, working on language studies, and still figuring out transportation (we have to use public transit or borrow a car).
