We were very excited to host our first family visitors this past month. Luke’s parents came and spent the girls’ spring break week with us. It also happened that our language tutor was out of town, so we took some vacation and were able to spend a lot of time with them, showing them some of our favorite places and exploring some new ones!
Highlights of our week included walking around Old Riga (Luke has become quite the historical tour guide, so we are ready for our next visitors!), seeing the ruins of the castle in Cesis (a town about an hour from where we live), and seeing the Baltic Sea on a beautifully sunny (but cold!) day.
Of course, mostly we just enjoyed time with family, and the girls enjoyed lots of board games!
We are so grateful they were able to come and look forward to our next visit with them, and future visits with other family, and maybe some of you!
Thanks for the updates.
I can only imagine what it was like to see family in person.
