We are so proud of this little kindergarten graduate! In the middle of the year, Caroline entered a new class in a new school with not a single familiar face and not knowing the language, and she has truly blossomed. We are so grateful for all that she learned and for the sweet teachers and friends God blessed her with. Last Thursday we celebrated her along with 20 other graduates (they do several graduations so that the ceremony can be more personal for each child and their families). We were so impressed by the entire program. They danced, they sang, they recited poems, they gave gifts to teachers and parents. The center of the program was when each child came forward with their parents to swing in a lovely handmade wooden swing while the teachers read a poem that they had written just for that child. They also shared the graduate’s hopes and dreams for the future. Caroline said she wants to be a violin teacher like her mommy 🙂 After the ceremony her class had a celebration complete with a bouncy house and a huge table full of food! It was also a great chance to visit with the other parents, as our children will be in school together for many years to come.
We are so grateful for the opportunity Caroline has had to be at this school for the past half-year. Our somewhat shy little girl made so many friends and truly stepped out of her comfort zone in learning to speak a new language. Her teachers have assured us that she will be ready for big school in the fall!
