We tried our hand at some empanadas one Saturday night Eleanor had to study from home for a few weeks due to COVID restrictions. Here was a science experiment where she had to test which type of bag could hold the greatest weight. Since we couldn’t fit any more books in the bags, we had to use her instead. The paper bag was the weakest! COVID restrictions allowed us to meet with one other family to mark Latvia’s independence day on November 11. Our town set up a light show to celebrate the Latvian Independence Day! We spent a morning at the Latvia ethnographic open air museum which is just a 15 min. car ride from our appartment We could not gather with all our American friends for Thanksgiving due to COVID restrictions, but we were able to have Katie join us! After Thanksgiving we went to cut down our Christmas tree. Christopher loves our advent wreath! Eleanor learning a song for her music class while she was home due to COVID restrictions. Luke was able to meet together with a fellow believer for prayer a couple of times this month! One of the pet stores had an American squirrel for sale….only €399! Christopher has enjoyed riding his bike to the new apartment building in our complex so he can watch the tractors work. We used a new advent devotional this Christmas that took us through Handel’s Messiah. Luke presented a research project on personal Bible reading in the local church for his studies at BPI this month. Christopher took this picture of the small Christmas tree in the children’s room. Very artistic! We got some snow at the end of the month! Christopher loved going to each of the snowmen and giving them a hug!
