We are the Tolbert Family. We (Luke and Patty) met in Greenville, SC while in college. Patty was attending Furman University to pursue a bachelor of music in music education while Luke was pursuing a bachelor of science in business administration at North Greenville University.

After college, we married in June 2007 and moved to Wake Forest, NC for seminary at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. After seminary, we accepted a call from Malvern Hill Baptist Church in Camden, SC for Luke to serve as the Student and Discipleship Pastor.

While serving at Malvern Hill, we felt burdened to pursue international missions and proclaiming Christ where he is not yet named. We desired to give the Lord a blank check to go wherever he would lead and to serve however he desired. To keep a long story short, we began the application process to serve with the International Mission Board in January 2015.

During the process, the Lord lead us to the people of Latvia and after a trip to visit the country in October 2016, we answered the call to serve as church planting missionaries in Latvia. We are excited to serve with our three daughters (Anna Kate, Caroline, and Eleanor) alongside the Latvian Baptist Union in reaching the Latvian people with the good news of the gospel.
